Now that fiscal year 2018 has ended, you may start preparing for your hospice CAP report, which is likely due at the end of February 2019.
In order to complete the hospice CAP report, you will need three files:
- PS&R Report 810, which shows net reimbursement
- PS&R Hospice Beneficiary Count Summary Report
- Hospice CAP calculation file
Once your billing through September 2018 is completed and processed by your fiscal intermediary (MAC), you may order the PS&R reports and use them to complete the CAP report. PS&R reports should be downloaded from the EIDM system.
The 2018 hospice cap amount per CMS is $28,689.04 per beneficiary, which is a 1% increase over the 2017 amount.
